He was among 141 people released from immigration detention after the High Court ruled that indefinite detention is illegal if there’s little prospect of deportation.
On Monday, Border Force confirmed that 138 of those former detainees are meant to be wearing electronic monitoring bracelets but this man was not and could not be contacted.
Late yesterday officials confirmed has been found and is complying with strict conditions.
The incident came as the Albanese government scrambled to draft new laws to deal with the fallout of the High Court decision.

It is working on legislation for preventative detention orders to allow courts to send the worst offenders back into custody if they pose an unacceptable risk to the community.
The Opposition has been calling for that bill to be introduced this week, but the government says it needs more time and it won’t happen until next week.
Federal front-bencher Anika Wells told Today this morning the government was planning to introduce measures worth $250 million in community safeguards.
“We are now bringing forward robust, preventive detention and community safety legislation which will be modelled on the same kind of laws we saw that previously had bipartisan support,” she said.
