Florida man installed tracking device on ex-flame’s car in hopes he would ‘run into’ her: complaint

The chance at rekindling this romance flamed out quickly.

A Florida Chipotle worker was arrested Tuesday after he allegedly used a tracking device from Best Buy to keep tabs on an ex-fling from years ago in hopes he could “run into” her, according to authorities.

Tyler Michael Strack, 22, was hit with a felony charge by the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Department after the woman found the Cube tracker attached to her vehicle last August, according to a criminal complaint obtained by The Post.

Investigators were able to figure out that Strack got the gadget from the chain store when his email address was linked to the purchase, the complaint alleges.

The woman told authorities she and Strack had a “brief sexual relationship” several years ago before it ended with no “further substantial contact in recent years,” according to the complaint, first reported on by The Smoking Gun.

The defendant fessed up to buying the tracker and installing it on his former flame’s car in front of her home “in an attempt to ‘run into’ the victim,” the affidavit states.

Strack, of Clearwater, was charged with an install tracking device count and released from custody on $5,000 bail.
