Two men have been hospitalised after suffering burns during a chemical spill at a large refinery in Western Australia.
The workers were at Alcoa’s Pinjarra refinery on Tuesday when the accident happened.
Emergency services were called to the refinery about 4pm, and five people needed medical attention.
Three people were treated at the scene.

The two other men – one aged in his 30s and another in his 60s – were taken to Fiona Stanley Hospital in Perth for treatment.
Worskafe is investigating and Alcoa was instructed to secure the facility until the morning.
Alcoa’s Pinjara refinery is one of the world’s largest alumina refineries and produces approximately 4.7 million metric tonnes of the main feedstock for aluminium each year.
