Fireball in the sky caught on camera over Maryland

Great ball of fire! On Sept. 3, a huge ball of light — likely a meteor or a space rock — was spotted flying northwest between Washington, DC, and New York City. Maryland resident Steve Olsen’s doorbell camera captured the out-of-this-world sight, with one X user commenting, “We saw this off Long Beach Island, NJ, and right before was a parade of Starlinks,” referring to Elon Musk’s recent satellite launch.
