Police have made what they describe as a “final” arrest in their investigation into the fatal shooting of Sydney underworld figure Alen Moradian last year.

Moradian, 48, who had high-level links to the Comancheros bikie gang, was shot dead getting into his car in an underground carpark on Spring Street, Bondi Junction, at about 8.30am on June 27 last year.

A short time later, police located a burnt-out Porsche nearby in Bondi Junction and a burnt-out Holden Cruze in Zetland.

NSW Police’s organised crime disruptors Task Force Magnus took on the investigation after it was established in July last year, through Strike Force Parachuter.

Seven men were previously charged in connection to Moradian’s death, and remain before the courts.

Yesterday, detectives travelled to a correctional centre in Clarence, where they arrested and charged a 27-year-old man with murder.

The man was remanded in custody to appear in Waverley Local Court today.

Police will allege in court the man was directly involved in the preparation and planning of Moradian’s death.
