A desperate search has been launched for a 12-year-old girl last seen on a quiet street in one of Sydney’s most exclusive suburbs.
Pepper Stern was last seen on Girilang Avenue in Vaucluse, in Sydney’s east, at about 11.15am on Tuesday morning.
The Jewish community has rallied around the hunt for the missing girl, with Emanuel School in Randwick, the Jewish House organisation and Rabbi Mendal Kasta posting details on social media to help the search.
Houses on Girilang Avenue are known to sell for as much as $10million, with units going for over $1million.
Pepper was wearing black tracksuit pants, an orange jumper and white joggers at the time of her disappearance.

Pepper is described as being of Caucasian appearance, approximately 162cm tall, with long brown curly hair.
The 12-year-old is known to frequent the Glebe area, in Sydney’s inner west.
NSW Police have concerns for her welfare due to her young age.
Anyone who sees Pepper or knows anything about her whereabouts has been urged to contact police as their inquiries continue.
