FDNY firetruck strikes, kills cyclist outside NYC park: police

An FDNY firetruck struck and killed a cyclist outside a park in Queens on Saturday, according to authorities.

The victim’s body was underneath the hulking truck and they were pronounced dead on the scene, according to cops.

Photos show sheets covering the back wheels of the service vehicle where the victim’s body was still trapped.

The truck was making a turn onto Juniper Boulevard alongside Juniper Valley Park at 4 p.m. when the fatal accident occurred, the NYPD said.

An investigation into the tragic traffic incident is ongoing.
