The father of a hit-and-run victim has forgiven the driver who left his daughter a paraplegic.

He pleaded guilty to failing to report an incident occasioning grievous bodily harm to police and failing to provide assistance.

The family of Sherylee Bonney, who was left as a paraplegic from the crash, told Perth’s District Court they were pleased Bradshaw was remorseful.

“Yeah, we forgive him, it’s just owning up to your responsibilities for any family … if you do harm to a person, be honest about it, come forward,” Bonney’s father, Rob Ugle, said.

“She’s good at the moment.

“She’s got a lot of operations to come … and wanted to come today, she’s happy.”

Prosecutors are looking to bring forward a third charge.

Bradford was jailed today while he waits to be sentenced in April.
