A 69-year-old man has been crushed to death and another injured by a brick wall at a demolition site in Perth’s inner north.
Emergency services rushed to Sexton Road in Inglewood about 1.15pm today after reports of a wall falling several metres on two men at a demolition site.
A 26-year-old man was seriously injured and rushed to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment.
He was in a stable condition but the 69-year-old couldn’t be saved.
The majority of the road was closed for several hours but reopened before 6pm (8pm AEDT).
Worksafe investigators, who are probing what went wrong, and firefighters remained on the scene into the evening.
