The legendary guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne has reportedly been shot multiple times while walking with his dog in Las Vegas.
Jake E. Lee is recovering inside the intensive care unit at a Las Vegas hospital, according to a statement released by a representative.
The renowned rock musician was walking his dog in the early hours of yesterday morning when the incident occurred.
The statement confirmed Lee survived the shooting.
“Lee is fully conscious and doing well in an intensive care unit at a Las Vegas hospital. He is expected to fully recover,” the statement said.
“Las Vegas authorities believe the shooting was completely random and occurred while Lee took his dog out for a walk in the early morning hours.
“As the incident is under police investigation, no further comments will be forthcoming, Lee and his family appreciate respecting their privacy at this time.”
Lee was the lead guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne between 1982 and 1987 following the death of Randy Rhoads.
He has also been a member of the heavy metal band Badlands with Ray Gillen.
