Eva Mendes couldn’t help but gush over her longtime partner Ryan Gosling, proclaiming he’s “the greatest” actor she’s ever worked with.
The mom of two, who shares daughters Esmeralda, 8, and Amada, 6, with the “Barbie” actor, rarely talks about her relationship with Gosling.
Yet on Thursday, Mendes took to Instagram to praise her beau on his craft.
“Mi Hombre. Mi Vida…To say he’s the greatest actor I’ve ever worked with is an understatement,” Mendes, 49, wrote alongside images from their 2012 film, “The Place Beyond the Pines.”
The snaps also included a quote from Greta Gerwig’s recent Rolling Stone interview in which she praised Gosling.
The director described Gosling as “some combination of Marlon Brando meets Gene Wilder meets John Barrymore meets John Travolta.”
Mendes thanked Gerwig for her words, adding, “Gracias to the brilliant & beautiful Greta Gerwig @rollingstone.”
Gosling stars as Ken in the hotly anticipated “Barbie” film set for release on July 21.
Last month, Mendes spoke out about her man’s latest project, writing, “So. F. Funny. So. F. Good. So F excited for you to see this. #Thatsmyken.”

And a month prior, Gosling gushed over Mendes in an interview with GQ, saying he knew he wanted to start a life with the actress after meeting her on the set of their film in 2011.
“I wasn’t thinking about kids before I met her, but after I met Eva, I realized that I just didn’t want to have kids without her,” he told the publication. “And there were moments on ‘The Place Beyond the Pines’ where we were pretending to be a family, and I didn’t really want it to be pretend anymore.”
“I realized that this would be a life I would be really lucky to have,” he added.
Mendes seemingly confirmed that she and Gosling secretly tied the knot in an interview last year, when she referred to the actor as her “husband.”
