Eric Trump branded Prince Harry and Meghan Markle 'spoiled apples' and echoed his father's claims the couple could be deported

Eric Trump branded Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ‘spoiled apples’ and echoed his father’s claims the Duke of Sussex could be deported if he wins the presidential election.

As Donald Trump continues to vie for the presidency, he has suggested Prince Harry may be deported under his leadership if the prince is found to have falsified information on his visa form.

Harry, who has resided in the US since 2020, lives in a nine-bedroom Montecito mansion with his wife Meghan Markle and their two children Archie and Lilibet.

The former president’s second son Eric told GB News during a tri[ to the Trump International Golf Links in Scotland that his father is a strong ally of the UK and gave his real feelings about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

‘You can happily have those two [Meghan and Harry], we might not want them anymore, it feels like they’re on an island of their own,’ he said.

‘You can always have bad actors in everything. You can have spoiled apples in every orchard.’

Eric said his father loves the UK – and added that the Royal Family ought to be protected.

‘My mom [Ivana Trump] knew so many of them for years and had a great relationship with Diana,’ he said. ‘It’s a sacred institution.’

‘The institution of the Royal Family is beautiful and is admired by many Americans. That should be protected.’

Trump has been a heavy critic of Harry and Meghan, and believed they betrayed the Queen with their public scrutiny.

The royal couple announced in 2020 they would step back from their duties in the Royal family and left the United Kingdom to live in the United States.

The pair were critical of the Royal family and palace staff, accusing them of failing to support Meghan as she struggled with the stresses of living in the media spotlight.

‘I came to understand that not only was I not being protected, but that they were willing to lie to protect other members of the family,’ Meghan said during an interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021. ‘They weren’t willing to tell the truth to protect me and my husband.’

Trump said he sided with Queen Elizabeth anyway, because he viewed her with respect after their meeting.

‘I would say, although she wouldn’t show it because she was strong and smart, but I would imagine they broke her heart,’ Trump said.

The former president told TV presenter Nigel Farage on GB News that Harry would not get ‘special privileges’ if he lied about his drug use.

In the prince’s autobiography ‘Spare’ he revealed he previously took drugs, which under US law would normally be grounds for a visa application to be rejected.

In the book he admitted to using to cocaine, cannabis and psychedelic mushrooms.
