Emergency services were called to an unoccupied property on Caroll Street in Deer Park at around 7am following reports of a fire.

Firefighters arrived on the scene to find smoke and flames billowing from the roof of the single-storey home.

The fire was under control by 8.13am.

The cause of the fire remains unknown and an arson chemist is expected to attend the scene.

Investigations into the cause of the fire, which police believe is suspicious, remain ongoing.
