Police and paramedics are responding to a serious crash at a school in Melbourne’s inner east.

The incident is unfolding at a school in Hawthorn East, about 7km east of Melbourne CBD.

A police spokesperson has said officers are unable to provide confirmed information on the incident yet.

At least eight police cars have been seen at the scene.

Ambulance Victoria has confirmed paramedics are also there.

“Our priority right now is our patients and we do not have confirmed information from the scene at this early stage,” a spokesperson said.
