An emergency declaration has been made as police respond to reports of an armed person in a suburban street north of Brisbane.
Police officers are searching for the person reported near a property along Sheehan Street in Kallangur, Moreton Bay, this evening.
The incident was declared an emergency just after 6.30pm (7.30pm AEDT) and an exclusion zone was established around Sheehan, Andrew, Kent, Boardman and Bond streets and Anzac Avenue.
Police are advising residents within the exclusion zone to remain indoors until further notice.
Everyone else is urged to avoid the area.
