Elsa Pataky was getting in the soccer spirit on Sunday night.

The Spanish actress was cheering on her homeland’s team in the Women’s World Cup final at Stadium Australia.

The 47-year-old screamed uncontrollably as La Roja roared to victory over England’s Lionesses.

‘Vamos España!!’ she wrote in her caption alongside an image in which she was sitting in the stands at the stadium.

Translated to English the caption reads: ‘Let’s go Spain!’

‘Goooooooooool!!!!!!’ she wrote alongside another post, which showed a video of the star cheering on her team while wearing face paint in team colours.

Elsa attended the match with her children and Aussie husband Chris Hemsworth, who held onto one of the pair’s kids in the stands.

Elsa got the result she wanted as La Roja won the match with a final score of 1 to the Lionesses’ 0.

English player Sarina Wiegman’s side, who inspired millions of fans to tune in, were defeated in Australia by Olga Carmona’s first half strike.

The Lionesses were given a lifeline when Earps made a terrific stop to deny Jennifer Hermoso from 12 yards.

But her teammates were unable to find the net themselves up the other end, bringing an unfortunate end to a terrific tournament that has raised the profile of women’s football like no other.

The match was briefly halted by a pitch invader wearing a ‘Stop Putler’ T-shirt, which compared Russian President Vladimir Putin to Adolf Hitler.

The man, who was also wearing a face mask, was quickly removed from the pitch by stewards.
