Elon Musk has proposed going through with his original deal to Twitter for a whopping $44 billion, Bloomberg reported on Tuesday.

Twitter shares spiked more than 13% to $48.13 immediately following the news and were halted due to pending news.

Musk has reportedly proposed buying the site for $54.20 per share — the same price he agreed to earlier this year before saying he was pulling out of the deal.

Twitter sued Musk in a trail that was set to open on Oct. 17.

Musk and Twitter did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
