Elon Musk compares ‘Trump Derangement Syndrome’ to rabies in sit-down with president: ‘I used to be adored by the left’

Elon Musk said he used to be “adored” by progressives before he threw his support and money behind President Trump — as he compared the left’s so-called “Trump Derangement Syndrome” to rabies.

The Tesla CEO and president sat down for a joint interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity, where Musk reflected on his fall from the left’s graces and his frustration with their inability to engage in “a normal conversation.”

“There’s this whole sort of, you know … they call it like Trump derangement syndrome. You don’t realize how real this is until, like — it’s like you can’t reason with people,” he said.

Musk recalled how he at a nice, quiet birthday dinner in Los Angeles about a month or two before the presidential election where everything was going fine until he brought up Trump’s name.

“It was like they got shot with a dart in the jugular that contained, like, methamphetamine and rabies,” he joked.

“Like, guys? You can’t have like, a normal conversation,” he continued. “It’s like they become completely irrational
