Ellen DeGeneres gives rare glimpse of brunette hair while doing common household chore for first time

Ellen DeGeneres is proving brunettes can have more fun.

The comedian gave a glimpse of her new hair color in a video shared via Instagram Sunday that showed her hilariously trying to mow the lawn presumably at her country home in the UK.

“Portia thought it would be fun to film my first time on the mower. She was right,” DeGeneres captioned the clip.

The “Finding Nemo” star was seen riding the lawn mower through an open grassy field.

The new experience initially appeared to be going well for DeGeneres, but then the video cut to the star needing help from a man who pushed the mower up a steep hill on the property.

She wrote across the two scenes, “How it started” and “How it ended.”

Last fall, DeGeneres and de Rossi, 52, reportedly settled down in the Cotswolds in South West England — nearly two hours from London.

At the time, sources told TMZ the couple wanted to “get the hell out” of the US immediately following Trump’s victory over Kamala Harris.

However, the couple — who tied the knot in 2008 — purchased the property before the 2024 election, according to the outlet.
