More than 80 emergency services professionals were called to the Great Western Highway at Wallerawang, about 15 kilometres north of Lithgow, after five cars collided just before 1pm on December 29.

Police continue to investigate the crash.

About 12.30pm today police were told the 11-year-old girl, who was a passenger in the Kia, died at the Children’s Hospital in Westmead.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
