Emergency services went to River Street in Maclean, about an hour south of Ballina, after the single car crash about 2.40pm yesterday.
“The 91-year-old male passenger of the vehicle was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Lismore Base Hospital where he died.”

The 85-year-old woman was taken to Maclean Hospital for mandatory testing.
The car has been seized by police for forensic examination and a crime scene has been established as police investigate.
