Two climate activists have been arrested after trashing Walmart heiress Nancy Walton Laurie’s £241million superyacht Kaos by dousing it in red and black paint.
Protesters from Futuro Vegetal (Vegetable Future) sprayed the 360ft vessel using fire extinguishers as it lay moored in Ibiza just after 9am on Sunday.
Footage has emerged of the two eco zandals approaching the ‘Kaos’ and beginning to spray paint over it, as staff on board run out and attempt to wash it off with water.
After they defaced the superyacht, which belongs to the Walmart heiress who has an estimated $7.7bn fortune, the protesters are seen holding up a sign saying ‘You Consume Others Suffer’.
The stunt continues a summer of outlandish protests staged by eco activists including disrupting major sporting and cultural events and spray painting a private jet in Ibiza two days earlier.

The 360-foot superyacht Kaos has been vandalised by climate activists from the Futuro Vegetal group in Ibiza this morning around 9am

The superyacht was launched by company Oceanco and belongs to American supermarket heiress Nancy Walton Laurie, who is the daughter of Walmart co-founder James ‘Bud’ Walton

They used fire extinguishers to spray paint across the one end of the £241million yacht and held up a sign saying ‘You Consume Others Suffer’, according to Spanish newspaper Periodico de Ibiza
A crewmember from a yacht nearby to Kaos told MailOnline the damage to the vessel will likely cost its owner ‘millions’ and slammed the ‘useless’ port security.
He said: ‘If Kaos had left ten minutes earlier it would have been our yacht.’
He added: ‘They took ages to come and police didn’t even arrest them, they just took them in for questioning.’
Futuro Vegetal later claimed responsibility for the stunt on social media, adding: ‘The mega-rich live off the suffering of others’.

It has been moored in the marina for five days and was scheduled to leave Ibiza today, however it was vandalised just before the crew was set to sail.
Two days earlier the Spanish group carried out a similar stunt in Ibiza, when the eco-zealots sprayed paint onto a private jet.

Futuro Vegetal describes itself as a collective of civil disobedience and direct action fighting against the climate crisis.
It states: ‘We don’t have time to keep trying the same tactics we’ve been using for years.
‘We need the entire population to be aware of the critical point that we have reached as humanity and of the intergenerational violence that institutional policies entail in the face of the Climate Crisis.’
The superyacht which sails under the Jamaican flag, is 360-feet long and weighs 4,523 tons. It was built in the Netherlands in 2017 and was previously known under the name ‘Jubilee’.
In 2020, Nancy Walton Laurie had her superyacht refit and redesigned in Hamburg, Germany. The refitting and redesign took a year and the Walmart heiress hired British designer Reymond Langton for the interior, according to the Yachtbible.
She is said to often take her superyacht for trips around Europe and the Mediterranean with her husband and daughter Paige Laurie.
Kaos has four decks and can house 31 guests in 16 cabins as well as 45 crew members in 24 cabins. There are four VIP suites, while most of the standard suites come with en suite bathrooms.

The crew also has their own gym below deck and onboard is also a consultation room for medical emergencies. The lounge area comes with gold ceilings as well as dark wood features. Marble bathrooms round off the deck.
The yacht also has a helipad, a hot tub and even space for a smaller boat for day trips. It also carries two tenders, a lot of different water toys, several jet skis, water bobs and paddleboards.
The entire vessel is also completely wheelchair-accessible due to its elevators and barrier-free access to all decks.
Oceanco, which built the superyacht, is also responsible for Jeff Bezos’ £400million superyacht.
On Friday the group carried out a similar stunt in Ibiza, when the eco-zealots sprayed paint onto a private jet.

They confirmed in a statement their vandal action was in protest against the climate crisis: ‘The action puts the finishing touch to the “Jets and Yachts, the party is over;” campaign, convened by Extinction Rebellion Ibiza, who demand the ban on private jets and the end of luxury broadcasts.’
Video from the scene showed one of the group’s ‘militants’ speaking in front of the plane. One said: ‘I am here today because it terrifies me, not having a future.’

In the Ibiza video, activist Marina appears to cite the statistic that the richest 1% of the world’s population were responsible for more than twice as much carbon pollution as the poorest half.
She says the luxury industry consumes and contaminates common resources and all life that lives on the planet.
‘The rich are a luxury that we cannot allow. Act!’
The video then cuts to a man covering the plane in black and yellow paint. He climbs on the wing and appears to glue himself to the fuselage.

The nose of the plane was covered in yellow paint, shown in the video shared by Futuro Vegetal
On the other side, Marina is seen waving yellow smoke. The plane and ground are seen covered in different paints.
At the end of the video, a message reads: ‘We can’t carry on maintaining your privileges. Eat the rich. Help us.’
Meanwhile, footage of climate protestors in Germany went viral after zealots clashed with the driver of an Air Liquide lorry, a company ‘promoting energy transition’.
The clip shared online appears to show Letzte Generation protestors sitting in the road to block traffic before a lorry driver attempts to push through.
One activist is dragged along the road by the moving truck before the driver relents, gets out and pulls them out of the road to pass safely.
In the video titled ‘Truck driver nearly runs over Letzte Generation human’, three climate protestors are seen to sit down in the road in front of a Air Liquide lorry.
Air Liquide is the Paris Olympics’ official hydrogen supporter and works to innovate ‘the development of low-carbon hydrogen and biomethane for the energy transition’.

The protestors appear to be with Letzte Generation. The group was founded in 2021 and operational in Germany, Italy and Austria.
They are pictured holding orange banners, though it is unclear what they say from the angle.
The driver of the lorry at first jumps out to push and drag the activists out of his way.
When they sit back in position, he slowly starts driving forwards – and then shunts the activist closest to the pavement.
The push is enough to send the young man flying back and bystanders come to his aid.
The lorry driver is seen throwing his hands up in frustration and stops the lorry.
Again, he gets out and drags the protestor out of the way, creating enough space to drive between them.
As the camera moves, video shows a queue of vehicles behind the lorry.
Air Liquide Group, the company that owns the lorry, is a self-described world leader in gases, technology and services for industry and health.

According to their Instagram channel, their ambition is ‘to deliver long term performance and contribute to a more sustainable world’.
The company recently became the Official Hydrogen Supporter of the Olympic and Paralympic Games for 2024.
They say they aim to ‘help reduce the carbon emissions’ of the Paris Olympics ‘to accelerate the deployment of hydrogen mobility from renewable sources’.
Air Liquide provided the following statement to MailOnline: ‘On July 12, Air Liquide was made aware of an altercation in Stralsund, Germany, between a third-party contract driver of Air Liquide Medical Gases and local protesters.
‘Images display unacceptable behavior from the driver that is not aligned with Air Liquide’s values in any way.
‘The third-party contractor has been notified that Air Liquide will no longer accept the services of this individual.’
Letzte Generation is a climate activist group operational in Central Europe. The name means ‘Last Generation’ in English.
It is known for its road protests, staging 276 road blockages in Germany alone throughout 2022.
