An e-scooter rider is fighting for life after being hit by a car police allege failed to stop in Perth. 

The Toyota Camry and the e-scooter collided at the intersection of Toodyay Road and the Roe Highway in Middle Swan about 12.30am today.

The rider was rushed to Royal Perth Hospital in an ambulance, suffering critical injuries but police claim the driver, a man in his 20s, drove off.

Police today appealed for anyone with information or footage of the crash to come forward.

Major Crash investigators were today speaking to the man, who was assisting with their investigation.

No charges have been laid.
