Drivers have been caught on camera performing dangerous U-turns in the same Adelaide school zone where a mother and daughter were hit by a car last week.
Over the past two morning drop-offs, cameras captured vehicle after vehicle crossing the double lines, including one in almost the exact same spot as Thursday’s crash.
“People that want to cut the figurative corner to get where they’re going, they’re really selfish” Police Minister Joe Szakacs said.
“They’re selfish because the decisions you make on our roads affect everybody, not just yourself, not just your passengers, but pedestrians.”
Concerned parents are calling on drivers to change their behaviour.
“It’s probably something that needs to be looked at with the drop-off zone,” parent Robyn Jones said.

“Stop and think. Do you want to live with the fact that you’ve killed someone?” parent Leigh Rothwell said.
St Aloysius College said it was already in discussions with the council about how safety could be improved in the wake of Thursday’s collision.
Five days after the crash, the mother remains in Royal Adelaide Hospital where she is recovering from serious pelvic injuries.

The police minister said he was doing everything he could to ensure the incident doesn’t happen again.
“I’ve asked the department for infrastructure and transport to provide all support they can to the local council,” Szakacs said.
