The driver of a Ford Ranger Utility was arrested after allegedly colliding with the motorbike and three cars on Pennant Hills Road in Normanhurst about 11.45am yesterday.

The 59-year-old motorcyclist died at the scene, with a Toyota Landcruiser, Lexus and a Kia Carnival also hit during the incident.

The ute and the motorbike crashed through a brick wall and caught on fire.

The Ford driver, a 36-year-old man, has been charged with five offences, including dangerous driving occasioning death, negligent driving occasioning death, two counts of causing bodily harm by misconduct while in charge of a motor vehicle, and not stopping at the stop line at a red light.

He has been refused bail and will appear at Hornsby Local Court today.
