Drake has abruptly postponed his remaining shows in Australia and New Zealand due to a “scheduling conflict”.

Four of the Canadian rapper’s 16 Anita Max Win Tour shows in Australia and New Zealand are affected, according to a statement first reported by Rolling Stone and later posted on the Ticketek website.

“We are actively working on rescheduling these dates along with adding some additional shows,” the statement read.

“All tickets for the affected shows will remain valid for the new dates.

“Refunds will be available for those who prefer, but please note that as these shows are sold out, any refunded tickets may be released for sale at a later date.

“We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience. Drake and the entire team have had an incredible time doing these shows and are excited to return soon.

“We look forward to sharing the rescheduled dates with you as soon as possible.”

Drake, who played the Brisbane Entertainment Centre last night, was about to wrap up the Australian leg of his Anita Max Win Tour.

He had kicked off the tour in Perth in early February before heading to Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

A third Brisbane show on March 4, a Sydney show on March 7 and two Auckland shows on March 15 and 16 are affected by the sudden postponement.

Ticketek says all customers will be notified of rescheduled dates once they are confirmed.

Those who would like a refund can lodge a request online.

According to air tracking websites, Drake’s plane left Brisbane about 6am (7am AEDT) for Nadi in Fiji.

It has since reportedly departed Fiji and is on its way to Honolulu in Hawaii.

Drake only has future tickets on sale for the Wireless Festival in London, where he is performing from July 11 to 13.
