Donald Trump gave a barnburner of a rant on how Biden keeps pouring money into Ukraine without demanding Europe step up and do its part both to fund Ukraine and help end the war.
No doubt Democrats will whinge about Trump giving Ukraine to Putin or something–that is nothing like what Trump said–but I found at the end of his rant something much more important than his musings on Ukraine.

Trump is right about Biden. Falling asleep shirtless on the beach with TV cameras watching is embarrassing, especially when you consider what Vladimir Putin looks like when riding around on a horse with his shirt off.
Trump’s promise to never fall asleep shirtless on the beach was, first of all, hilarious. I literally broke out laughing, as did my wife. No doubt some Democrats will see it as rambling, but in a way, it shows why so many people like Trump. He is talking about a serious topic–American weakness and how it led to the Ukraine war and chaos in the Middle East and uses a vivid image to convey that weakness.
Not to mention the clear fact that NOBODY wants to see either Joe Biden or Donald Trump shirtless. Yuck.
As for the Ukraine rant, it was on point. We have a war in Ukraine because of Biden’s weakness and Europe’s fecklessness, and Biden is helping Europe remain feckless by not demanding they rearm and put up the money for the defense of the Eastern front, if that is what they think is necessary.
Trump didn’t threaten to pull support from Ukraine, but he signaled that he wants the war over, and it won’t end unless some deal is cut with Russia. Russia may not be good at using military power, but they sure do know how to keep fighting relentlessly. Until a deal is cut the dying will continue, and the danger to everybody increases.
Putin only responds to strength. Or, rather, he responds to both strength and weakness, but in very different ways. Biden’s weakness created the conditions for the war, and Trump will make Putin an offer he can’t refuse.
Trump isn’t going to give Ukraine to Putin, so if you support Ukraine, don’t worry about that. But he is signaling that his goal is not to fight to the last Ukrainian.
