Donald Trump schools Kaitlan Collins and reminds viewers why Americans don’t trust the media anymore

Lefty journos are still trying to score cheap shots against President Trump and showing why they’ve lost all public trust in the process.

Take CNN’s Kaitlan Collins.

A deranged Resistance freak from way back, she proved true to form when she shrilled out “Do you trust President Putin?” while Trump was talking about the prospects for peace in Ukraine.

Nothing of substance. Nothing actually advancing journalism around a potentially huge world event, i.e. an end to Putin’s war.

Just a cheap play for seal-claps and social-media dopamine.

Collins clearly still believes it’s January 2017, when the hottest ticket in TV was anti-Trump whining and crying.

But she got a big dose of reality from the prez himself.

Trump shot back that ex-prez Joe Biden is “a friend of CNN. That’s why nobody watches CNN anymore. Because they have no credibility.”

Love Trump or hate him, any sane observer has to admit he’s correct here.

CNN and every other news source that went all-in on histrionic progressive screaming for eight years have shed all good faith.

It should be noted here that Collins was using the Ukraine war — a bloody tragedy largely enabled by her buddy Biden, one that has so far claimed tens of thousands of lives and seen cities wrecked — as fodder for her personal brand here.

The brush-off Trump gave is the correct response to this partisan nonsense: Don’t engage, lightly dismiss and move on.

And it’s an attitude that, increasingly, Americans are adopting to elite journos as a whole. Trust in the media has cratered to historic low since 2020 and shows no signs of picking back up.

That’s because when people tune in to hear reporters grill a politician, they want actual questions.

Not smarm, histrionic self-righteousness or agitprop.

Collins & Co. are doing a real disservice to their profession and to their country by playing this tired old game.
