Does Miley Cyrus Regret Her Marriage To Liam Hemsworth?

Just because something doesn’t work out doesn’t mean it wasn’t worth experiencing — at least according to Miley Cyrus. “I wouldn’t erase my story or want it to be erased,” she told British Vogue, referencing her ex-husband, Liam Hemsworth. “Having an interesting life makes for interesting storytelling.” It’s this storytelling that has influenced her music, bringing out a versatility that’s demonstrated through Cyrus’ exploration with different genres. However, the songbird also told British Vogue that her 2023 album, “Endless Summer Vacation,” isn’t about any one ex in particular. Rather, she sees her music as representing various life experiences.

That said, Cyrus’ relationship with Hemsworth was still a formative part of her life that helped mold her into the person she is today. “I had a very public, very big breakup that was a 10-year span of a relationship,” the songbird said on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast in 2020. “I tried not to get lost in the emotion … it’s like a death when you lose a loved one, it’s that deep. It feels like a death.” Separately, she expressed on “The Howard Stern Show” that despite the divorce, her feelings for Hemsworth will always remain. “I really do and did love him very, very, very much and still do, always will,” she said. Those aren’t the words of a girl who’s looking back on her marriage with regret.
