Like Ivanka Trump, Lara Trump was heavily involved in Donald Trump’s 2020 presidential campaign. According to Raleigh’s The News & Observer, Lara worked “digital, fundraising, and merchandising efforts,” in addition to speaking at various campaign events. Perhaps, the ladies’ shared goal of putting Donald in the White House brought them closer together, because both women are often uploading supportive messages to one another on social media. “Very proud of my sister-in-law @ivankatrump and the launch of her #WomenWhoWorkBook,” Lara posted to Instagram in 2017. For Lara’s birthday in 2019, Ivanka shared a photo of herself posing with Lara (above), writing, “Love you!” Ivanka’s nuclear family has also spent quality time with Lara’s, as evidenced by a snap of them together in Aspen.

In particular, Lara has spoken publicly of her sister-in-law in glowing terms. As of 2017, she praised Ivanka’s “impeccable style,” according to Hello! The former Fox contributor takes her jewelry cues from Ivanka too, if her diamond ring — which is from Ivanka’s now-defunct jewelry line — is any indication. Furthermore, Lara has defended Ivanka in the wake of various controversies. When many retailers dropped Ivanka’s clothing line during her father’s 2016 presidential run, per Yahoo!, Lara took to Instagram with a supportive message. She also stood up for Ivanka by condemning NBC for asking her sister-in-law about the sexual misconduct claims against Donald, telling Fox Business, “I think this was incredibly inappropriate to ask Ivanka … she handled it with such class.”
