A detective has been found dead inside a Sydney police station with a full-scale investigation now underway.
The body of a 46-year-old detective sargeant was discovered inside Ermington Police Station in Sydney’s south-west at midday on Monday.
The officer was on duty at the time from a specialist command. NSW Police say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the man’s death.

The death is set to trigger a number of reports , with the Professional Standards Command and Law Enforcement Conduct Commission to be involved.
A report into the 46-year-old’s death is currently being prepared for the Coroner.
NSW Police are offering support to colleagues and other staff at the station.
