Search efforts have continued for a teenager who vanished while at a beach on NSW’s North Coast.

Jacob Partridge, 17, was last seen by friends at Emerald Beach, 20km north of Coffs Harbour, on Friday.

Marine and police rescue officers battled choppy waters searching for the teenager on Saturday but found no trace of him.

The search across both sea and land was picked up again on Sunday morning.

Jacob is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 175cm tall, of medium build, with long brown hair.

‘Police and family hold concerns for his welfare as his behaviour is considered out of character,’ NSW Police said in a statement.

He is known to frequent the Emerald Beach area.
