Former NRL star James Maloney and his wife, Jess, are appealing for help to find their son Kade, who has gone missing from the NSW Central Coast.

Police said the 14-year-old was last seen at Green Point, near Gosford, about 10pm yesterday.

Jess said he bought a train ticket at Gosford train station, probably after walking from the nearby suburb, and was likely heading for Penrith, in Western Sydney.

“Please if you have seen him or heard from him, please get in touch with us,” she said, in an Instagram post this evening.

“He has James’ phone so James is not contactable.

“We are desperate to know he’s ok and if he doesn’t want us to know exactly where he is, that’s ok we just desperately want to know he’s safe.”

Police, who are helping in the search, said Kade was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, dark blue North Queensland Cowboys NRL shorts and carrying a black bag.
