Weekend Parting Shot: Now With 100% More Chablis

President Biden began using the term ‘convicted felon’ against former President Trump at a Connecticut fundraiser Monday night. Other Democrats gleefully embrace the term whenever they are in front of a camera.

The label is part of why DA Bragg and the corrupt judge in Trump’s hush money trial moved forward to prosecute Trump in Manhattan. The prosecution became a reality when Trump announced he would run for re-election. It was clear from the jump that this was a political show trial to keep Trump off the campaign trail and out of the White House.

Biden’s America looks more and more like a banana republic the longer he is in office. Biden doesn’t tear up the Constitution, he shreds it.

Democrats want the satisfaction of saying that Trump is a convicted felon because Trump derangement is very real and shows no signs of ebbing. It has been so since 2016. Democrats openly talked about impeaching Trump before he was inaugurated. They impeached Trump not once but twice during his term in office.

Joe Biden is losing to Donald Trump if most polls are to be believed at this point. The guilty verdicts handed down by the jury in his hush money trial in Manhattan increased Trump’s poll numbers, the opposite of what Democrats are counting on.

Trump held his first post-conviction campaign rally since the end of the trial in Manhattan in Arizona, a battleground state in the November election. According to the latest FNC poll, Trump leads Biden in Arizona by 5 points – 51% to 46%.

Enthusiasm was reported to be high for the Trump campaign rally.

Before Trump arrived in Arizona, the DNC put up its first digital billboard against Trump. It calls Trump a convicted felon in English first, then Spanish. Axios reported the story on Thursday, including the text from the billboard.

  • “Trump already attacked Arizona’s democracy once. Now he’s back as a convicted felon. He’s out for revenge and retribution,” the digital billboard will read. It will run first in English and then in Spanish off of I-17.

The polls favor Trump so the gloves are off. Look for a constant forage of convicted felon statements from Biden and his fellow travelers. What else do they have? Abortion? That is an important issue for liberal women but it doesn’t make the top issue in general polling. It’s more of a niche issue. In an evenly divided political atmosphere, the stance by most Democrats that abortion should have no restrictions at all does not set well with voters of either party.

Biden is trying to run on saving democracy, whatever that means. Unfortunately for him, voters see through his hypocrisy as he tries to jail Donald Trump using lawfare. Does ignoring Supreme Court rulings and doing runarounds on them preserve democracy? That is what Biden brags about doing with his student loan debt forgiveness program, putting American taxpayers on the hook for an unconstitutional action.

It’s interesting that the DNC accuses Trump of acting as though he is above the law.

  • “Trump has always acted as though he is above the law, and it’s clear he is unfit to serve,” DNC Deputy Communications Director Abhi Rahman said in a statement about the billboards.
  • “That’s why Arizonans will reject Trump in November and again unite behind President Biden and Vice President Harris…”

Projection, much? Democrats always accuse Republicans of doing what they are doing. Let them spend money on digital billboards. It only fires up voters to move to Trump.
