That information was passed to Fordham via the parents of the other children.

“As soon as I was told, I contacted NSW Police to make sure investigators were aware of it,” he said on air this morning.

He said investigators were looking at an aerosol can as one line of inquiry.

All of the boys have been let go so far pending further enquiries.

Detectives have not said if any of the four will be charged.

So far, no deaths from the fire have been reported, though two homeless people are believed to be unaccounted for.

The investigation is ongoing.
