A three-year-old girl has died after a tragic crash in rural Western Australia on Wednesday night which injured five other adult passengers (stock image)

A toddler has died and five adults have been injured following a single-car crash on a rural highway. 

A Holden Captiva veered off an access road to the Great Northern Highway at De Grey, in Western Australia’s Pilbara region, at 10.50pm on Wednesday.

The vehicle then rolled with emergency services racing to the scene. 

A three-year-old girl was found critically injured and died.

Three men and two women suffered only minor injuries.

Major crash investigators have travelled to the scene as the circumstances surrounding the crash are investigated.
