DC Police Thrilled That Trump Is Helping Them Fight Crime

As the Democrats and the Pravda Media are having an absolute meltdown over Trump’s efforts to fight crime in Washington, D.C., there is one group in particular who are breathing a sigh of relief: the police in the District. 





You can easily understand why. The police are on the front lines, dealing with criminals and victims every day. Irate citizens wonder why they are forced to be victims, and criminals laugh in the faces of police just trying to do their jobs. 

The current Pravda Media line is that there is no crime problem in Washington–it’s a MAGA conspiracy–and all the usual suspects are screaming “LIAR!” at Donald Trump. It shouldn’t surprise us that the same people who report as gospel the statistics from the Gaza Health Ministry are reporting crime statistics fraudulently compiled by a suspended political appointee at the Police Department. 





Believe it or not, millions of people still believe what they read in the newspaper and are told by “mainstream” reporters. Peter Baker of The New York Times KNOWS that the statistics in DC are juked–he has the resources of one of the most powerful media outlets in the world–and still claims that there is a “nonexistent crime crisis” in DC. 

Even if you believed the phony stats, DC is one of the most dangerous cities in America and, indeed, the world. While not Mogadishu–a place that my own city, Minneapolis, is trying to emulate–it is more dangerous than Bogota, Mexico City, or Islamabad. While no doubt many liberals see the crime as culturally enriching, ordinary people prefer not to get carjacked and assaulted, no less murdered. 

Many of the loudest voices objecting to the federal takeover of criminal justice in DC were the authors of the very policies that led to this crisis. To put it bluntly, they hate the police, want them defunded, hamstrung them, and demoralized the police force so badly that the force is understaffed by 800 officers. 





Those National Guard troops Trump is deploying–they pretty much get the District’s police force up to its authorized strength. It’s hardly an invasion, and they wouldn’t be necessary at all if the DC politicos let the police do their jobs. 

We are at the point where it is hardly an exaggeration to say that the Pravda Media and the left are at war with ordinary Americans. It is, I think, an expression of rage that we are not following their lead and have had the gall to elect Donald Trump as President of the United States. 

How else to explain the embrace of MS 13 and Tren de Aragua gang members as model citizens–not that they are citizens or even legal residents–and their outpouring of hatred toward law enforcement officers just trying to clean up our streets? They are angry, and want our lives to suck. 





As liberals compare police officers who are just trying to keep people safe to slave patrols and the National Guard to fascist troops imposing authoritarian control, they wonder why most Americans are turning away from them in disgust. 

When faced with a choice between Donald Trump and sexual predators, murderers, carjackers, and muggers, the left will always choose the latter. For them it is an easy choice–so easy that they instantly make up phony statistics, howl in outrage, and declare the end of democracy while Trump is still speaking. 

There are a few dissenters from The Narrative™–all of whom were directly assaulted. When the crime hits them, they change their tune, but until that happens, there is no reasoning with them. 





The apparent insanity of the establishment left is not what it seems. They are not so much disconnected from reality–they know they are lying when they trot out their phony statistics and fake outrage–but rather are taking part in a coordinated psychological operation intended to convince people of a reality that doesn’t exist. 

Is it working? Yes, and no. Millions of people have been slowly waking up to the fact that their elite “experts” hate them and lie constantly. But millions more, mostly coddled upper-middle-class overeducated liberals, still believe what they read in the newspapers and magazines they grew up reading. 

There is no denying that Pravda Media and the Democrats are lying to Americans–all it takes is a bit of curiosity and a willingness to spend 15 minutes checking out what they are saying. But most people don’t, and in a sane world, they wouldn’t have to. News sources spewing nothing but propaganda are not supposed to be the norm in democratic societies. 





Unfortunately, we are losing our democracy. Only it is Trump who is trying to save it, not the Democrats or the left.
