Damian Priest has ‘a long ways to go’ with Drew McIntyre as he eyes hometown SummerSlam spotlight

Damian Priest may be on the outside looking in of the WWE main event picture at the moment, but he’s more than happy with where he sits right now — back in the mix for the United States championship.

The former Judgment Day member has a chance to win the title for a second time in a four-way match against champion Jacob Fatu, Drew McIntyre and LA Knight at Backlash in St. Louis, Mo., on Saturday night (7 p.m., Peacock). It will begin his road to the first two-night SummerSlam at MetLife Stadium on Aug. 2-3, which is a bit of a homecoming for the New Yorker, who grew up in The Bronx.
