The greatest stars of modern Australian cricket – and their glamorous wives – hit sixes on the red carpet as they arrived for the Cricket Australia Awards at Crown Melbourne on Wednesday.
The ceremony celebrates the best in the sport for both men’s and women’s cricket, with players battling it out for the Allan Border Medal and Belinda Clark Award respectively.
While the usual suspects were in attendance, there was one high-profile couple missing in action on the red carpet: David and Candice Warner.
While it’s unclear why the Warners didn’t go – especially following David’s retirement from one-day international cricket and Tests – they may have opted to have a night in after their recent action-packed family holiday in Dubai.
Nevertheless, the night was filled with stunning gowns and glam looks, with Emma Lyon turning heads alongside husband Nathan.
