A couple have been evicted from their unit in Sydney’s CBD after they allegedly stole $60,000 worth of mail from neighbours within their complex.

Images from NSW Police show dozens of parcels and packages, filled with a wide range of items, found by officers after searching the complex at Saunders Street in Pyrmont yesterday.

The most unique items included a pair of high-top Gucci sneakers worth more than $1000, a wide range of Star Wars collectables and a $167 box of Muscle Chef meals.

Police also allegedly seized ammunition, prescription medication, credit cards, shoes and replica firearms.

Investigations began on Christmas Eve after reports two electric bikes had been stolen from the unit’s residential car park.

Sasha Pearsall, 37, and Nikita Bastion, 36, were arrested at the property yesterday and taken to Day Street Police Station.

The couple have each been charged with several offences including larceny, drug supply and possessing ammunition without holding a licence.

Pearsall and Bastion faced Paramatta Local Court today.
