Costeen Hatzi (pictured left with Nick Kyrgios) has spoken publicly for the first time since rumours swirled that the pair had split up

Costeen Hatzi has broken her silence publicly after rumours have emerged in recent weeks that she has split from Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios.

The pair had been dating since 2021 but speculation gathered at the end of March that the pair had parted ways following a string of social media posts.

Hatzi, an influencer, had taken to Instagram last week to fuel the rumours, posting several cryptic social media posts. One had appeared to show her mouthing the words that she was ‘divorced’.

Kyrgios, meanwhile, had appeared to throw the rumour mill into overdrive with a single emoji, appearing to downplay the speculation by commenting a ‘heart-eye’ emoji on an Instagram photo published by Hatzi. He had also written a post on social media that read: ‘Fact of the day… don’t believe everything you read.’

On Tuesday, Hatzi was one of several influencers attending the Witchery White Shirt Campaign launch in Sydney where she spoke to The Daily Telegraph on how her life has been recently, though it appears she did not deny that the pair had split.

‘It’s been great,’ Hatzi told The Daily Telegraph.

‘I’m still going on with work and I have a few different brands that I’m working with at the moment.

‘I’m grateful to have this life and hopefully keep on going.’

The pair have been dating for nearly four years. They had met on Instagram back in 2021 when the tennis star contacted Hatzi about a mirror she was selling on Instagram.

The influencer, who has over 180,000 followers on Instagram has regularly been seen supporting Kyrgios on the tennis court and was recently seen on the practice court supporting the Aussie star at Indian Wells.

Hatzi added: ‘I think it’s always important to put yourself first and do what makes you happy.’

She and Kyrgios had removed each other’s initials from their Instagram bios sparking the initial rumours over their split.

She later appeared to publish a TikTok video that was captioned: ‘You don’t see your friend in a while and you have to update her on your chaotic life’.

During the clip, she appeared to mouth the words: ‘Who the f*** did I marry? So at this point in time, I have filed for divorce.’

One follower responded in the comments asking her: ‘Do you have a broken heart?’

Hatzi replied: ‘No’.

In the past, Kyrgios has referred to Hatzi as ‘his closest friend’ adding ‘[she is] the person who hates me one minute and loves me the next, the best girlfriend, my biggest fan, my love and a great partner in life.’

Hatzi, meanwhile, has previously opened up on when they first met.

‘He was apparently scrolling through Insta and saw my business account post.

‘He messaged my business account asking if the mirror was available for pick-up and then messaged my personal [account] asking the same thing.

‘It was a professional/friendly conversation and then he came to pick up the mirror from Sydney.’

‘I had no idea this was all a plan, I literally thought he was buying a mirror. He picked up the mirror and, as he would say: “It was love at first sight,”‘ she said.

Kyrgios, meanwhile, has been battling his way back from injury over the past two years, having ruptured a ligament in his wrist.

Kyrgios returned to the ATP Tour at the Brisbane International earlier this year, before being bested by Jacob Fearnley in the opening round of the 2025 Australian Open.

He has since struggled with the wrist injury, with Kyrgios agonisingly withdrawing from his opening match at Indian Wells against Botic van de Zandschulp.

But at the Miami Open, there was great joy for Kyrgios, who beat Karen Khachanov in two sets.
