The coffin of Queen Elizabeth II completed a procession at walking pace through central London and was taken in a hearse to her final resting place at Windsor Castle.
The Queen had a deep love for corgis and owned over 30 in her lifetime, with two on the steps of Windsor Castle for her last goodbye.

Sandy and Muick were stood at the right of the arch as the funeral cortege came into the Quadrangle, a private part of the palace.
The Queen’s final journey
Muick was gifted to the Queen by Prince Andrew during lockdown in 2021 and is named after Loch Muick on the Balmoral estate.
Sandy was also a present bestowed on the Queen for her 95th birthday from Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie.

They will now be cared for by the Queen’s son, Prince Andrew.
The dogs were not the only animals brought to pay tribute to the Queen.
Her Majesty’s horse Emma was brought out to stand at attention outside Windsor Castle.
