A Colombian military helicopter has crashed in the city of Quibdó, in the country’s west, killing at least two people, authorities said.

Footage of the army helicopter – which was carrying out supply operations – showed it spiralling out of control on Monday before it crashed to the ground in an urban area.

Colombia’s President Gustavo Petro confirmed the incident on Twitter and said emergency services had been deployed to the crash site.
