Quality testing by its food supplier found microbial contamination in small batches of its Coles Finest Australian Organic Washed Rind Raw Cheese, which may cause illness if consumed.

Cheeses sold with use-by dates from December 14, 2022, up until February 1, 2023, are the items affected by the potential contamination.

Coles is urging customers who purchased the affected products to not eat the cheese.

They can receive a full refund by contacting Coles Online Customer Care on 1800 455 400.

It has also asked anyone with health concerns who may have ingested the contaminated batch to seek medical advice.

No other Coles Finest Cheese or products are impacted by this recall.
