Coachella singer’s backflip fail ends in faceplant in front of massive crowd

He bruised more than his ego.

An overly enthusiastic singer embarrassingly face-planted while trying to pull off a back-flip to impress the Coachella crowd, viral video shows.

Singer-songwriter d4vd, a 20-year-old who was born David Anthony Burke in Queens, NY, performed at the iconic California music festival Saturday and attempted to rile the crowd with a shirtless backflip off of an upstage platform.

But the shirtless singer miscalculates his steps, slips a foot and plants his face with serious force on the Coachella stage, viral video shows.

In the head-banging clip, the sound of the thud can be heard over the amplified drumbeats, leaving a sweat stain on the black stage and causing both d4vd and the backstage videographer to groan in pain.

The indefatigable 20-year-old laughed off the embarrassment and continued the performance without missing a beat.

Moments after the flub, he executed several other acrobatic flips to get back into a rhythm and attempted to play off the whole episode on social media with similar deftness.

“Humiliation ritual complete… see u next week coachella i love u,” he wrote in a follow up post that included a picture of an elderly dog absorbing the last rays from a setting Sun.

D4vd also shared the video on Instagram, spinning the gaffe as “clipfarming.”

After banging his head on the ground, d4vd laughed and popped right back up to continue the high-profile performance. d4vd/X

This was the first Coachella performance for d4vd who is set to release his second studio album “WITHERED” later this month, according to his social media profiles.
