Tens of thousands of dollars worth of high-end motorbikes have been stolen by a group of clumsy thieves.
The gang of brazen thieves smashed their way in using an angle grinder and a sledgehammer, after pulling up in a ute just before 5am today.
Matt Jones Motorcycles Owner Matt Jones said “they knew what they wanted and took them”.
“They’ve come and done some research then worked out what units were where,” he said.
“It’s a lot of money a lot of damage, a lot of heartache.
“It’s shattering, we have a great team here, small family-run business. We work very hard.”
The attack lasted just six minutes, but the bandits made off with four bikes worth more than $60,000 from Jones’ business of 15 years.
Adding to the heartache, the clumsy thieves damaged a further 15 motorbikes.
Even the bikes taken during the heist sustained some damage.
Anybody looking to buy a second-hand motorbike online who notices something suspicious should call police.
Police are still searching for the thieves.
