Climate Change Porn Is a PsyOp

The whole climate change discussion is enraging, of course, but also–as somebody who loves science and curiosity–depressing.

Unlike many conservatives, I do not believe that it is impossible or even implausible that human activity could alter the climate. The whole “we are puny compared to nature” idea is both true–human beings cannot stand up to a tornado or hurricane or change their direction–and also irrelevant.

Human activity can alter the climate to some extent. Deforestation, for instance, can have a major impact on weather patterns, and certain kinds of pollution, such as particulates, can change the amount of solar irradiation that reaches the Earth’s surface. The best way to understand the impacts that human beings have on the climate is to use the scientific method to tease out all the variables and gain an understanding of how they interact.

Unfortunately, climate science today, like so much academic activity, is corrupt and politicized. Climate doomism, which is driven by absurd predictions, claims of knowledge we do not have now and may never fully grasp, is a political tool to reshape the economy and human behavior.

There is real science being done, but how would you be able to separate out the fact from the fiction, and how much of it gets funded compared to the most politically useful “studies?”

Science is a human activity, and scientists are human beings who respond to incentives and punishments, seek power, prestige, and money, and want career advancements. That’s why there is so much scientific fraud in all fields, and few fields have so much money and power attached to them as climate science.

But that is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the climate change hoaxes we are subjected to. Climate “science” provides the excuse for the entire psychological operation, but the money and power attached to climate doomism flow elsewhere for the most part. There are the subsidies, the regulations, the projects, the NGO infrastructure, and a whole complex that has consumed many trillions of dollars in recent years, and will consume far more in the future.

Climate doom is big business.

With so much money at stake, the PsyOp part of the equation is well-funded and pervasive. The public is getting bilked to the tune of trillions, so it requires a whole lotta propaganda to get people to tolerate all the cost, inconvenience, power, poverty, and coercion involved. Just as with COVID, which involved a similar level of coercion and generated trillions of dollars for the elite at the expense of everybody else, the public must be continually terrified by frightening images of what happens if we do not comply.

Is there a wildfire caused by bad forest management techniques and poorly maintained power infrastructure? Climate change caused that. Just as it caused those fires started by arsonists. And hurricanes never existed prior to the Industrial Revolution. Every bad thing on Earth is caused by Carbon Dioxide, and we all know that women, children, and transgender sex workers in Asia are hardest hit.

As climate change activists do their best to destroy great art, others are creating a new genre of climate porn to scare you to death and make you comply with the mandates to own nothing and be happy–in the dark. It is indoctrination.

Delille and Piermartiri decided early on, from those initial pictures made in the Maldives, that “Atlas of the New World” should be an academic-adjacent project as opposed to an artistic coffee table book. Then they started to see a wider potential. “We only understood later in the process that this project had been made for future generations,” Delille observed. “We would love to have this be used in schools.”

“It’s a kind of manual,” agreed Piermartiri, reflecting on the engagement they’ve already received from talks and exhibitions. “When kids look at our pictures, they become immediately conscious about the problem. These pictures speak about the future, and the most important thing is that the message passes on to them.”

In this art project that CNN gushes about, we hear all about the Maldives slowly sinking into the Pacific. This is a fantasy–since the first prediction that they would be underwater by now, the Maldives have grown in size and become one of the world’s tourist hot spots for the rich and famous–complete with a new airport. Billions have been invested there by savvy tourism promoters who know a good thing when they see it.

The whole point is not to reflect a coming reality, but to create an alternate universe to justify picking the pockets of the public.

It is enraging, of course, and dangerous. But it is also really sad to me, because I think there is good science to be done and it is being corrupted. We really should understand more about the climate, yet the science is as rigorous and useful as nutrition science–meaning that it is worse than useless. Nutrition science has made billions of people fatter and less healthy, and climate science is making the world economy flabby and making life worse for billions of people.

It is, in a word, unforgivable.
