Chris Van Hollen and Media Lay Eggs on Easter, None Of Them Golden or Chocolate

2025’s Barabbas, Kilmar Abrego Garcia, got full representation on Easter as his chief advocate, United States Senator Chris Van Hollen, was booked and appeared on all five Sunday shows, becoming the 39th person to pull off the full Ginsburg.

Ben Ginsburg, the former attorney for Monica Lewinsky, set the precedent on February 1, 1998 in the wake of scandal involving then-President Bill Clinton’s Oval Office and West Wing affair with the young White House intern. Many have followed – some to give out as much information as possible, others, like Anthony Fauci and Susan Rice, to appear on as many platforms as possible in order to lie their backsides off. In Fauci’s case, it was covering up and mismanaging the COVID response. In Rice’s case, it was to lie about the cause of the Benghazi consulate attack that killed five Americans after Hillary Clinton’s State Department turned their backs on them.

Van Hollen, freshly back from a taxpayer-funded trip to Margaritaville for a Tinder date with the deported so-called Maryland man, made the rounds on CBS’ Face the Nation, NBC’s Meet the Press, ABC’s This Week, CNN’s State of the Union, and Fox News’ Fox News Sunday. With very few exceptions, media continues to flat-out ignore the facts surrounding Abrego Garcia, and are playing blocking tackle against anyone trying to present those facts.

Those facts were spelled out at the White House by President Donald Trump himself at the swearing in ceremony of Dr. Oz to fun the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

Every network Friday afternoon at least started covering this ceremony live, not quite knowing what to expect. Most stayed. MSNBC, once Trump started listing the crimes and affiliations of Abrego Garcia, quickly cut away. No need for their audience to hear something that goes against their narrative they’re protecting at all cost.

Later, in the Oval Office, Trump held up a close-up photograph taken of Abrego Garcia’s left hand, where on four fingers between his knuckles, he has what law enforcement and gang experts say is code for MS-13.

Immediately online and in Resistance media, claims of photoshopping by the White House surfaced, and others denied that the tattoos meant anything sinister at all, much less signaling affiliation with the terrorist gang. Do you know who wasn’t fooled? Border czar Tom Homan, who was asked about the tattoos on Fox News.

I tend to trust Homan a lot. 40 years on the job of keeping this country safe from foreign gang bangers will do a lot to build that trust.

Again on Friday, outside at a press gaggle, Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller continue to do his level best to educate a media corps that isn’t interested in facts when there’s a good anti-Trump narrative they’d rather support.

On Sunday Morning Futures, Maria Bartiromo’s Sunday show on Fox News, guest host Jason Chaffetz spoke with assistant Secretary of Homeland Security, Tricia McLaughlin. Among things about Abrego Garcia she confirmed was the story out of Tennessee last week that Abrego Garcia was stopped by Tennessee State Police for driving a van with no license, transporting a bunch of illegal aliens bound for Maryland. The story last week, albeit thinly-sourced, claimed that Joe Biden’s FBI played interference in 2022 and had the Tennessee authorities stand down. McLaughlin indicated that there’s more truth to that story than not, validating the human trafficking element along with his other gang affiliations.

Homeland Security released more information on that 2022 human trafficking incident in a thread on X.

But the bottom line that still cannot be overcome by the media and Democrats is that Abrego Garcia was adjudicated by not one court, but two. Both courts found that he is MS-13. Both courts found that he was here illegally. He’s actually had his due process. His claim to asylum in the first place was based on his fear of being deported back to El Salvador and being killed by, in his words, “a rival gang.” The courts, both of them, denied his asylum claim and ruled he was subject to deportation. He just couldn’t be deported to El Salvador because of the criminal climate at that time.

CNN’s Dana Bash tried to bring that point up, of whether Van Hollen asked his new drinking buddy whether he was part of MS-13. Naturally, that’s the last thing MS-13’s personal senator wants to discuss.

Van Hollen would much prefer lie about the legal status of Abrego Garcia instead. Fortunately, NBC’s Kristen Welker on Meet the Press was all-too-happy to facilitate that.

Both court orders have been made public. Both accept in their findings Abrego Garcia’s gang connections. He himself admits he’s in a gang when referring to his fear about a rival gang. And as for Van Hollen worried about the Constitutional rights of one man, here’s Mr. Constitution when it comes to the 2nd Amendment on the right to keep and bear arms.

Some lies are lies of commission, meaning lying about something you said or did. Then there are lies of omission, which are lies about something you didn’t say or didn’t do that are germaine. On ABC’s This Week, Van Hollen made the claim that Abrego Garcia, a citizen of El Salvador, is actually an American.

Central American? Yes. United States of America American? Nope. Not by a long shot. And this is where this whole story and how much media and Democrats are invested in keeping the narrative together is so bizarre. In no universe would Abrego Garcia, with what we know about him now, be allowed into the country even if he applied for a green card and tried to get on a path to citizenship. He’d never be allowed to cross the border, and everyone knows it. Even if El Salvador agrees to return him for his court date to revisit the deportation ban to El Salvador, best case scenario is he’d be deported somewhere else. He’ll never be allowed to roam the streets of Maryland as an illegal alien. And the left doesn’t care that much about him in the first place. He’s just the vehicle by which the left thinks the Trump deportation plan falls apart, and they aren’t willing to give up on it as of yet.

The New York Times got into the act of ignoring the facts and reporting exactly the opposite. The White House had to fix their headline for them.

The really amusing part, however, is how little the country cares about this hill on which the Democrats and media are willing to consume hemlock.

Nobody is losing sleep over this guy being a resident of the El Salvadoran Graybar Hotel. As for Van Hollen, he’s not losing any sleep over spending taxpayer money for his little Central American bar-hopping adventure.

Tom Homan appeared on This Week on ABC with a different take on Van Hollen’s publicly-funded Spring break.

To this day, the left thinks they’re winning on this issue, even after Van Hollen’s odd defense and conspiracy mongering over Maryland Margaritas.

Here’s why they’re not. Remember the President’s joint address to Congress a month ago? Yes, it was only a month ago. Remember 13-year-old DJ Daniel, the adorable African-American kid who had battled brain cancer and Trump rewarded that courage by making him an honorary Secret Service agent? Van Hollen, along with every other Democrat in the chamber, sat on their hands throughout that entire exchange, because it made Donald Trump look human.

This same man who could care less about anyone recognized positively by Trump flew just under 4,000 miles round-trip to have drinks with someone who will never be allowed in this country under any normal admission standards…at your expense. Why? Because Donald Trump deported him.

Please, Democrats, don’t ever change.
