Two people, including a young child, have been rushed to hospital after they were pulled from a burning home in Victoria’s north-west.

Firefighters spent almost half an hour extinguishing the blaze on Barr Street in Maryborough, north of Ballarat, after it caught fire just after 11.30am.

A child was airlifted to the Royal Children’s Hospital and a female in her 70s was taken to Maryborough Public Hospital.

Victoria Police, CFA and Ambulance Victoria are on scene.
