It’s understood the child was on their way to school at 8.45am in Warnbro, south of Perth’s CBD, when they were “picked up in an unknown vehicle” by a man in his 30s.
After police were notified of the child’s disappearance, officers were immediately deployed to the area to scour the suburb.
A short time later, the child was located outside a supermarket in Port Kennedy.

A male suspect was apprehended by officers and is assisting police in their inquiries.
Investigations are ongoing.
